Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of Pray. By creating an account, purchasing Lifetime Premium, or using the Service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Pray.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter this agreement. Pray is not directed to children. You must provide accurate account information, protect your credentials, and promptly report suspected unauthorized access.
2. The Service
Pray provides devotional, educational, and informational features including Scripture, reflections, guided prayer, Bible reading and study, AI-assisted explanations, calm sessions, reminders, widgets, and community prayer. Features can vary by device, platform, region, connectivity, permissions, account status, and app version.
Pray is not a church, clergy member, counselor, health provider, emergency service, or substitute for professional advice. If you face immediate danger or may harm yourself or someone else, contact local emergency services or a qualified local crisis resource.
3. AI-assisted content
Pray may use AI systems to generate explanations, prayers, study content, and moderation decisions. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete, repetitive, offensive, or inconsistent with your beliefs. Evaluate it independently before relying on or sharing it. Do not use Pray for medical, mental-health, legal, financial, emergency, or other professional decisions.
4. Accounts and deletion
Some features require an account. You are responsible for activity under your account. You may stop using Pray at any time and can permanently delete your account and associated data in Settings. See the account deletion instructions. Deletion does not automatically create a refund or alter transaction records that Apple, Google, or applicable law requires to be retained.
5. User content
“User Content” includes prayer text, requests, chat prompts, notes, public posts, reactions, reports, profile information, and other material you submit. You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant Vu Nguyen Tran a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, transmit, display, adapt, and moderate it only as reasonably needed to operate, secure, improve, and support Pray and comply with law.
You are responsible for your User Content and must have the rights and permissions needed to submit it. Public community content is visible to other users, who may copy or share it outside Pray. Do not post another person’s private information without permission.
6. Community rules
Pray has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Community users must be able to report content, block abusive users, and remove their own content. Pray may screen, hold, reject, hide, remove, preserve, or review content and may restrict or terminate accounts to protect users or enforce these Terms.
You may not:
- Harass, threaten, bully, exploit, impersonate, stalk, or target another person.
- Promote self-harm, violence, hatred, terrorism, sexual exploitation, abuse, or illegal activity.
- Post sexually explicit material, graphic violence, scams, spam, malware, deceptive content, or unauthorized solicitations.
- Expose private information, infringe intellectual-property or privacy rights, or interfere with reports, blocks, moderation, authentication, security, or rate limits.
- Use Pray to solicit money or financial support from other users without written permission.
Report violations through Pray or email vunguyen.dev.0306@gmail.com. Pray will review reports and act as reasonably appropriate but does not guarantee that all objectionable content will be detected before it is seen.
7. Acceptable use
You may use Pray only for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not disrupt the Service; bypass access, purchase, moderation, or security controls; access another person’s account; scrape or harvest data; introduce malicious code; reverse engineer Pray except where law expressly permits; or use Pray content or output to build competing datasets, models, or services without written permission.
8. Lifetime Premium and billing
Pray may offer an optional Lifetime Premium in-app purchase. It is a one-time charge for the premium features described at purchase and does not automatically renew. The applicable app store displays the final local price, taxes, and purchase terms before confirmation.
Apple or Google processes payment and maintains the purchase record. Use Restore purchases with the same store account when needed. Refund eligibility and processing are governed by the store’s rules and applicable law. A refund, chargeback, or store reversal may remove the related entitlement. “Lifetime” means the supported lifetime of the Pray Service, not the purchaser’s lifetime or a guarantee that every current feature will remain unchanged forever.
9. Privacy and permissions
The Privacy Policy explains Pray’s data practices. Pray may request microphone, speech-recognition, notification, tracking, or other permissions when a feature needs them. You control permissions in device settings, though denying one may make its feature unavailable.
10. Intellectual property
Except for User Content and third-party material, Pray’s software, design, branding, interfaces, graphics, and curated content belong to Vu Nguyen Tran or licensors and are protected by law. Subject to these Terms, you receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Pray for personal purposes. Bible translations and other third-party content may carry separate copyright or license terms.
11. Third-party services
Pray uses or links to third-party app stores, authentication, payment, analytics, advertising, AI, speech, hosting, Bible-content, and infrastructure services. Their terms and privacy practices also apply to their services. Pray is not responsible for third-party services outside its control.
12. Availability and changes
Pray may add, change, limit, suspend, or discontinue features and may apply reasonable usage limits. Pray does not promise uninterrupted, error-free, or permanently available service. Where practical, material changes will be communicated through the app or these pages.
13. Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Pray is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of accuracy, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, or non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Vu Nguyen Tran and Pray’s service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost data, lost profits, service interruption, or decisions made using devotional or AI-assisted content. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
14. Suspension and termination
Pray may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, Service protection, nonpayment, or a violation of these Terms. You may stop using Pray at any time. Provisions that by nature should survive termination—including ownership, licenses already needed for lawful retention, disclaimers, and liability limits—will survive.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by applicable laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory law in your location provides otherwise.
16. Apple and Google
If you download Pray through Apple App Store or Google Play, you must also follow the applicable store terms. Apple and Google are not parties to these Terms and are not responsible for Pray’s support, maintenance, or content except as their own terms require.
17. Changes to these Terms
Pray may update these Terms by posting a revised version with a new effective date. If a material change requires notice or consent, Pray will provide it as required. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms.
