Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your use of Remote AC (the “App”), provided by Vu Tran Nguyen (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. License and use
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple-branded devices you own or control, solely for its intended purpose. The App is provided without charge and does not currently offer subscriptions or in-app purchases.
You may use the App only with air conditioners, networks, Apple Home configurations, and premises that you own or are authorized to control.
2. Compatibility and safety
Compatibility varies by air-conditioner model, network, region, firmware, and accessory configuration. A device appearing in the App, or a command being sent, does not guarantee a response or complete compatibility. Confirm the physical response of your equipment before relying on it.
Do not use the App for emergency, medical, life-safety, security, or other safety-critical purposes, or where a missed, delayed, or incorrect command could cause injury, death, property damage, equipment damage, spoilage, or environmental harm. The App is not a substitute for professionally installed safety devices, alarms, ventilation, or building-management systems.
Weather and comfort information is general information only and is not professional engineering, medical, environmental, or energy advice.
3. Permissions and third parties
Some features may require Local Network, Apple Home, location, or notification permission. You control these permissions in iOS Settings; refusing a permission may limit the associated feature. You are responsible for maintaining compatible equipment, a secure local network, and any related third-party accounts or services.
Third-party equipment, weather services, and Apple services are governed by their respective terms, privacy policies, and warranties. Their names and trademarks belong to their owners.
4. Acceptable use
You must not use the App unlawfully or to access, scan, interfere with, or control any device, account, or network without authorization. You must not bypass technical restrictions, compromise security, reverse engineer the App except where law expressly permits it, or infringe another person’s rights.
5. Availability and liability
The App may change, be unavailable, or stop working with particular devices or services. We do not promise uninterrupted operation, permanent compatibility, or that every feature will always be available. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss or damage arising from your use of, inability to use, or reliance on the App or connected equipment. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
6. Apple App Store terms
If you obtained the App through Apple’s App Store, these Terms are between you and Vu Tran Nguyen, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them. You must comply with the App Store Terms of Service when using the App.
7. Privacy, changes, and contact
Please read the Privacy Policy for information about how the App handles information. We may update these Terms as the App changes; the updated version will be posted here with a revised effective date when required.
