Support
Support is available by email at vunguyen.dev.0306@gmail.com. To get a fast answer, include your phone model, Android version, the app version shown on the Settings screen, your air-conditioner brand and model, and whether you are using the phone infrared emitter or a network bridge. Never send passwords or network secrets.
1. Quick checks
- Commands are sent but nothing happens. Point the top edge of the phone at the unit from within a few meters with a clear line of sight. If the app reports success and the unit still does not react, the protocol variant is probably wrong.
- Your unit is not recognized. Many brands use several protocol variants. Work through the alternatives listed for your brand and test the power command on each; the correct one usually responds immediately.
- Bridge setup fails. Confirm the phone and the bridge are on the same network, that the address is HTTPS, and that the certificate is valid. Plain HTTP is rejected because the app blocks unencrypted traffic.
- No infrared emitter. Use the bridge setup path instead; the app detects when the phone has no emitter.
2. Frequently asked questions
Which air conditioners are supported? The app ships with a large database of infrared protocols covering most major brands. Pick your brand during setup and test the power command; if the unit responds, the profile is correct.
Does my phone need an infrared blaster? No. Phones with an emitter control the unit directly. Phones without one can use a network bridge on your local Wi-Fi, configured in the setup screen.
Does the app work offline? Yes. Infrared control needs no internet connection. A connection is used only for advertising, analytics, and reaching a network bridge.
How do I add another room? Use the room switcher on the remote screen to add a room, then run setup again for the unit in that room. Each room keeps its own profile and presets.
Does the app require an account or a subscription? No. There is no account and there are no in-app purchases.
How do I remove the ads? Watching an optional rewarded ad removes ads for two hours. There is no paid ad-free purchase at this time.
3. Privacy and data
How do I turn off usage analytics? Open Settings → Privacy and switch off Usage analytics. The choice is saved on the device and applied on every launch.
Where are my rooms and presets stored? On your device only. Bridge credentials are held in Android encrypted secure storage. See the Privacy Policy for details.
How do I remove app data? Remove saved rooms and profiles in the app, or uninstall it to remove everything stored locally. To request deletion of analytics data, email the address above.
4. Compatibility and safety
AC Remote Universal is not intended for emergency, medical, life-safety, security, or other safety-critical operation. Do not rely on it where a missed, delayed, or incorrect command could cause injury or damage, and keep your original remote available. For equipment faults, contact your air-conditioner manufacturer.
